Taken

It's not often that I'm on the edge of my seating and totally engrossed in a movie...but that definitely was the case with Taken. Liam Neeson's character was very likeable. The type of character you pull for throughout the entire movie. This is more of a thriller than an action movie (don't get me wrong, there are plenty of fights) and I think that's why I was into it.

If you like LOST (and who doesn't?) Maggie Grace (Shannon) is in this movie. Upside is she is not nearly as annoying as she was on LOST and the downside is she looks really bad with brown hair.

J.J. Abrams Appreciation

J.J. Abrams is right up there with Ryan Murphy for creating two television shows that are awesome.

LOST. Oh, man. What an awesome show. This is the type of show for people who like to become obsessed with a series and anazlyze everything. I LOVE IT. There are so many twists, so much interconnectedness and still so many questions left unaswered that I am dying to know the answers to.

Fringe. If you haven't seen this new show yet, you need to. If you liked The X-Files or if you like J.J. Abrams' style, then you will easily become obsessed with this show. It has many of the same qualities of LOST: people being connected in strange ways, people are not always what they seem, Easter eggs and foreshadowing, cliff hangers, etc. It took me a few episodes to get hooked, but now I am REALLY into it.

I think I am going to have to follow this up soon with a Ryan Murphy appreciation post. I can't think of anyone else to create more than one tv show I like. Anyone else?

If anything goes wrong, Desmond Hume will be my constant

I am FINALLY caught up on LOST. I powered through it, but it still felt like I would never be up-to-date. As much as I felt it was an annoyance to have to watch multiple episodes a night in hopes of being able to watch season 5 real time, now that the burden is gone I'm actually kind of bummed. I need a new show to watch (I'm caught up on all my programs!).

I am woman enough to admit that I cried at the end of season 4 when Desmond and Penny were reunited. I was pulling for them for so long...it was kind of cathartic.

Needless to say, I am REALLY excited to watch a new episode of LOST this week.

Random side note: Whenever Daniel Faraday is on the screen all I can think about is his portrayal of Charles Manson. Anyone else?

EDIT: OH WTF. Apparently it's a re-run tonight. WHYYYYY!?
